The following site contains many library learning objects:

What makes these learning objects? They are digital, reusable resources that enhance learning. They can be used in many different classes, depending on the context in which instructors plan to use them.
Many of the resources linked within the site above are intended for high school or college audiences though, so my next post will contain elementary/ middle school library learning objects such as the short digital activity on copyright below:

Thank you so much for the great definition of a learning object. Your example of the science videotape really made it more clear for me :-). I can now see how a learning object would not only be useful, but may also save a school distrcit money if they can utilize the same technology in many different ways
Good- I'm glad it helped! As I read more and more about learning objects, I realize that we use them in our lessons all the time, even if we didn't know the term for them before 611.
Great point about saving money too!
I like how the different learning objects are given a star rating and reviews are provided. I also noticed that they were updated periodically which would help to let fellow teachers know if it is current or not. The learning objects looked like topics that would be useful to us in our LMCs someday.
Thanks for finding such a good information site.
Thank you for pointing out some of the site's helpful features--The reviews can quickly help us decide whether or not the learning objects will be useful to us, and the records of updates are certainly relevant too! Many educators will appreciate these time-saving features as we locate materials for our many lessons!
