Intro. to DyKnow Vision

What is DyKnow Vision?

For the next few weeks, I will be blogging about a technology called "DyKnow Vision" in addition to other findings of interest. DyKnow Vision is a very dynamic student/teacher interaction system that transmits teachers' notes to students' screens so that students can concentrate on understanding the material and annotating class notes instead of trying to scribble down all of their teachers' notes while listening in class. This system also allows students to play back the notes while studying to see how diagrams, charts, or equations were created. Additionally, DyKnow Vision enables teachers to poll their classes mid-lesson to check for understanding and to collect, comment on, and return students' work electronically as students complete practice assignments in class.

This is a really neat technology, and would work really well with "clickers". It is so amazing how we can help students learn, especially in a more visual manner :-)

I am continually amazed too! This technology is also awesome for students with writing disabilities... I bet it saves a lot of frustration.

Along with Ace, my immediate thought after reading about DyKnow Vision is how well it would work with clickers. Not having to copy a lecture down would be a great asset in a classroom and allow students to actually listen to the lecture.

Thanks for sharing and I look forward to learning more.

Listening without rushing to copy down every word is a huge benefit, which makes me wonder why the percentages of students excited about this technology aren't at, or closer to, 100% in the next paper I posted. I think I'll look into potential issues with DynoVision in addition to more of its applications this week.
